On the 20th of February 2015 students from the Cyprian Norwid Catholic College in Garwolin had a chance to meet the leaders’ team in the Foundation for Somalia.
The meeting was to confront their image of cultural differences and similarities between Poland and countries which are not well-known to many of them, such as Tunisia, Ethiopia, Pakistan and Ukraine. It was also a great chance to ask questions to these who are now living in Poland, but once have lived or worked in many various foreign countries – says Łukasz Olszta who coordinates leaders’ programme.
The meeting was held as a so called ‘living library’. The idea is to ‘borrow’ the participants like books and ask them questions, listen to their stories. The meeting was organized for the two 15-person groups of students. The organizer was the Foundation for Somalia within the project Actively + Legally.
