It is never too late to start learning! The elders living in Warsaw’s Praga and Powiśle districts learned to play the drums. The meeting ‘Symphony of Age’ was designed to integrate the participants.
Music has the ability to soften the customs and to connect generations. Those old wise rules were acquired by the students from Warsaw University Ethnology and Anthropology Department by organizing drum activities for the seniors. Under the supervison of Gaspard Conde – a Guinean master of dun-dun and djembe drums – the participants learned to tap basic rythms. The honorary patronage over the event was taken by the Museum of Warsaw Praga and the Foundation for Somalia. Fot. KM
